Utah Parent Center

The Utah Parent Center is an award-winning, non-profit organization founded in 1984 by parents of children and youth with disabilities to help other parents facing similar challenges throughout Utah. For more than 25 years, the caring and competent staff of the UPC has utilized our parent-to-parent model to help many thousands of parents and to represent families in many systems-level activities. UPC staff has built collaborative networks with education, health and human service professionals, agencies, organizations, and the Center promotes change within the community through various projects and activities

Huntsman Cancer Institute

Physicians and scientists at Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah realize that the best way to make improvements in cancer treatments, cures, detection, and prevention is to understand cancer at a molecular and genetic level. The University of Utah has long been a leader in the study of human genetics, which set the stage for the establishment of Huntsman Cancer Institute, where researchers are working to more fully understand the process of cancer and devise new ways to treat it—especially on an individualized basis. This approach, based on genetic knowledge, is the present and future of cancer care. We know that each cancer patient is a unique human being, not a statistic.

South Valley Sanctuary Domestic Violence Shelter

South Valley Sanctuary’s mission is a humanitarian effort to provide refuge, education and support to all survivors of domestic violence. We provide individualized, survivor-focused services that aim to empower men, women and children as they work towards breaking the cycle of violence. We believe that engaging the community in critical dialogue on the fight against domestic violence is crucial in creating and sustaining safe homes, neighborhoods and communities.

American Diabetes Association
